The Lakeway Wildflowers are officially recruiting new members, and we would love to meet you! Whether you’ve been singing your whole life or are looking to rediscover your voice, we offer a supportive and high-energy environment where you can shine.
We invite all interested women to experience the magic of the Wildflowers firsthand. Here is our simple three-step process to joining the group:
1. Visit as a Guest Come sit in on one of our rehearsals! This is the best way to feel our energy, hear our sound, and see if our group is the right fit for you. You’ll get to meet the members and see how we work together to build our unique sound.
2. Find Your Voice During your visit, you’ll undergo a brief, low-pressure voice placement test. This helps us determine your vocal range and your ability to hold a harmony. Based on the results, you’ll be placed into one of our four signature sections:
Tenor: The high, light harmonies.
Lead: The melody-driven powerhouse.
Bari: The essential "glue" that fills in the chords.
Bass: The rich, foundational low notes.
3. Practice & Audition Once placed in a section, you’ll join us for rehearsals to learn our repertoire. When you feel confident and ready, we will arrange a formal audition with our Music Director and a small quartet. This ensures you're comfortable singing your part within a small group setting.
